“Oh yeah definitely. In fact I almost choked on my Burrito when I met her…don’t ask.” Mikaela laughed at how Cat’s sudden appearance at the Asphalt Cafe that day scared her into almost choking on the Mexican dish she was trying to eat for lunch. Not that it was considered easy to eat Festus’s food. In fact it was considered a feat just to keep anything that he made down, even with her ED and all. Mikaela let out a small pout at Tori’s rejection. And as she expected, her response was the same as everyone ease’s.

She tried to get Beck to help her out, that didn’t work, She wouldn’t even go near Jade with that scissors fetish that she has, and as hard as she tried to bribe cat with candy, potatoes, even a trip to that nice restaurant that she fancied so much, nothing really seemed to work. She was back ad square one. When the Latina girl made

“Oh you are such a tease Tori!” Mikaela joked playfully shoving the Vega girl in front of her. “Not even a little help? I’m starting to think Sikowitz has it out for me. Either that or I didn’t give him a big enough coconut. You know I had to go all the way to west Hollywood for a coconut that was about the size of his head?”

Mikaela gestured with her hands, indicating just how big the coconut was. “I gotta tell you carying a coconut this big to school? Its a killer on your back.”

Tori burst out laughing as Mikaela told her about the coconut, trying to imagine one as big as their acting teachers head and the look of glee on his face when he received it.

“I tried coconuts too.” The taller girl sniggered. “Two of them, but it still didn’t work.” She smiled. “But, I had no help at all, so I can’t help you either! You’ve just got to do it on your own!”

Poking her tongue out in jest, Tori made her way back to the couch, dropping herself onto the very end then leaning back as she sipped her lemonade, still grinning to herself. The Latina girl watched as Mikaela followed her over, seating herself less casually, but still pretty relaxed. Tori couldn’t deny that the two of them had hit it off well from the start and she could easily call the girl a friend now, which she was more than pleased about. And she knew Cat, too, which was a bonus.

“Hey, maybe you, me and Cat should hang out sometime!” Tori suggested, placing her glass on the table in front of her. “I haven’t seen her in ages and it’d be nice to have someone else around too!”

sensual—seduction:

Beck had been at it for the past two days cleaning his RV enough so that he could have people over. With a small smile of success, he fished his phone out of his pocket, shooting the latina girl a text.

Hey RV’s all clean, why don’t you head over so that we can work on that project?

After doing that, he tossed it on the bed, just touching up a few final things.

Tori had been sat on the couch watching some mind numbing tv show, just for something to do, when she felt her phone vibrate from somewhere around her. After scrabbling around the couch in an attempt to find it, the half Latina managed to retrieve the pear shaped cell from where it had wedged itself between the cushion and the back of the sofa, and was slightly surprised to find a text from Beck lighting up the screen, asking if she’d come over to work on the project they’d been assigned. She hadn’t spoken to the boy much of late, especially after recent events to do with a certain dark haired girl, but hopefully this project would get the two talking again. They were still friends after all, even with the prang of guilt Tori always felt at just the thought of him.

Sure thing, I’ll be over in a few! xx She quickly texted back. Now all she needed was a ride.

“TRINA!” The brunette yelled up the stairs, the paused to listen for a response. When none came, she tried again. “TRINA! MOM! DAD!” Still nothing. They must have all gone out without her realising.

“Fine, I’ll walk there.” Tori grumbled to herself, taking her jacket off the table where she’s unceremoniously dumped it earlier then walked out the door.

It wasn’t too far to Beck’s, and she’d made the journey before- her stomach lurched when she remembered one time was the night she’d helped Beck and Jade get back together- so it wasn’t long before she was knocking on the door of the familiar RV, patiently awaiting Beck’s answer.

its-me-mikaela:

“Thank you.” Mikaela graciously accepted the lemonade from Tori as she took a sip from it. As the sweet, sugary concoction went down her throat she noticed that Tori was staring at the same photograph that she currently had her eyes on. Mikaela giggled at how cute she looked in her ping pong uniform. It was the first time that she actually SAW the Vega Girl in anything other than the stylish outfits that she always wore whenever she passed her in the hallways.

“Wow Tori, you are totally working the Ping Pong uniform swag.” The musician joked, sharing a small laugh with her new tanned skinned friend. Even though she seemed happy from the outside, seeing the pictures of Tori with her friends gave Mikaela an awkward sadness that settled in her stomach. She never had any pictures of her old friends back at her house. Most of the pictures she had was with her own family. One or two of them maybe of a friend from way back when she was a little girl but…nothing as of recent. She found herself to be rather envious of the Vega Girl.

A goofy Grin spread across Mikaela’s lips as her eyes landed on the red head in the pictures. That innocent smile of hers, that happy go lucky sun shine and rainbows attitude of Cat Valentine managed to capture Mikaela’s heart. She’d never admit it but…she was quite smitten with her short Hollywood Arts fellow student. Maybe a little more than just smitten. She never met anyone LIKE Cat Valentine before. She seemed to be so full of pure innocence. The same kind of innocence that seemed truly incorruptible. Maybe that is what attracted Mikaela to Cat. The fact that in many ways, Cat was HER role model in how to be positive, even when the world hurls a bunch of snot rockets towards your direction. She caught the Latina girl from the corner of her eyes lingering on Jade’s picture. That little sigh that came from Tori’s lips also didn’t go un noticed but none the less, she wouldn’t harp on it, even after her suspicion seemed to be confirmed at that point. None the less she wasn’t going to harp on that. Everyone should be entitled to their secretes.

“Yeah I do! I met her about a little less than a week or so? She certainly makes quite an impression.” Mikaela sipped her drink again, remembering the conversation she had with the red head about unicorns and phoenix’s when they were walking back to her place. “She just seems like a naturally carefree person. Like she doesn’t care about what other think about her. I respect that in a person you know?”

Resting at the counter area with Tori, her fingers drummed against the round tumbler in her hand. “You ever get that feeling that, even though you’re the complete polar opposite of that other person? You some how have this notion that you could see yourself being…good friends with them? Despite all the layers you have to peel back? Its almost as complicated as that Bird Scene Sikowitz has me doing.”

Another frustrated huff escaped her lips thinking about the damn Bird Scene that their teacher is having her do. Every time she performed the scene in the class room Sikowitz keeps telling her that she did it all wrong. Whats worse is that she had no feedback to what so ever…unless.

“Hey Tori?” Mikaela switched her gaze to her new friend. “Since we’re pals now. You would agree that friends talk about things right? Certain things that other friends need help in like…Oh I dunno…The Bird Scene?”

“She really does make an impression, doesn’t she?” Tori grinned, remembering when she first met Cat and the brief, yet memorable conversation she’d had with the petite red head. “But she’s so sweet, and I love her to death. She’s one of the best friends I could have.”

Tori put the photo back where it came from but didn’t take her eyes off it. It had been a long time since she’d seen all of her friends together like that and she was really starting to miss their company. Sure, she’d seen Andre and Cat a few times, and Jade probably more often than she should, but the she couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen either Robbie or Beck. Heck, she was even beginning to miss Rex’s pervy remarks, but maybe not so much. Again, her eyes drifted to Jade, the butterflies rushing back to her stomach along with the mix of feelings that always came along with the mere mention of the girls name. How Jade West, of all people, could make her feel this way was beyond crazy.

“Yeah, I know what you mean.” The half-Latina murmured, finally tearing her eyes away from the photo to face Mikaela and respond to what she’d said. She had to keep herself focused on the conversation and not a certain goth girl.

Her grin picked up again at the mention of the Bird Scene and she couldn’t help but chuckle. “Oh, I remember that too well.” Tori laughed, making her way back to the couch. It hadn’t been all that long ago since she’d attempted that very scene herself. “But, I can’t tell you anything I’m afraid. I had no help with mine, no amount of bribery or handcuffing people to stairs made my friends help me out, and I can’t give anyway any secrets myself.” To show her point, Tori dragged pinched her fingers together and dragged them across her lips in a ‘zipper’ motion.

“But, I’m sure you’ll do fine.” She added. “You just have to do it how you feel best.”

Vega Residence: Mikaela/Tori

its-me-mikaela:

Sure! I could stay for a drink.” Mikaela responded to her new friend. Looking down at her watch, she saw that it was still pretty early in the day. And her mother wouldn’t be home until later. So since Tori was offering, she could kill an hour or two before she went home to start dinner. Standing up from her seated position she stretched her limbs out before she joined the Latina girl in the kitchen. With her leather jacket off, her guns and roses t shirt was fully visible.

Joining the Vega girl in the kitchen she noticed the stark differences in her home compared to her own. Tori’s house seemed to be full of vibrant colors. Everything from the furniture, wallpaper, even the artwork hanging on the walls, seemed to jump out at Mikaela with a colorful burst. Unlike the vintage and Victorian style domicile that she currently lived in. And it’s not like she didn’t like that look. She loved it to be honest. But Tori’s home seemed to have that certain warmth and family like atmosphere that just didn’t seem present in Mikaela’s home.

Again she didn’t have a bad relationship with her mom per say. For the most part it was pretty good. She just…hardly saw her sometimes. And she understood why. Her mother had a demanding and high positioned job. Which she was grateful for since it put a roof over her head. And she didn’t want to add to her mother’s already stressful position. Sometimes her older sister would come over to keep her company, but that was when SHE had time herself.

“You have a lovely home. It’s got that nice…family atmosphere.” Mikaela looked down at the pictures that she had had around the counter. A small giggle escaped her lips as she passed a picture of Tori and Trina. As she expected, Trina always seemed to try and “outshine” her younger counter part. She wondered if it would be OK if she invited Tori to her home every now and then. She doubt that her own mother would even notice another person in their home. Most of the time when her mom stepped in, it was either to get something for later and then dash right out. And Tori seemed to be a rather genuinely nice person.

“Hey you should check out my place sometimes. I got this killer sound system set up with like custom speakers and everything, I think you would totally dig it.” Mikaela watched as her friend got their drinks ready. As her eyes gazed back to the pictures in front of her, she noticed that one particular picture caught her eye. It was the picture of a very familiar red head that she knew all to well.

“You know Cat Valentine? That’s so cool!” she bemused looking up at her tanned skin friend.

“Thank you.” Tori grinned at the compliment to her home, losing concentration for a moment and managing to slosh the lemonade down the side of the glass, rather than into it. With a small groan at her clumsiness, Tori put the bottle down a began to search through the cupboards for a new roll of kitchen paper, seeing as someone- probably Trina- had finished the last and not bothered to replace it.

As she searched, she noticed Mikaela wander around the house, picking up the baby photos of her and her sister, family photos and odd other pictures their parents had scattered everywhere. The Latina loved to have all the photos around, it gave the place a family feel, something warm and cosy and loving, but it also reminded her what was lacking. She loved both of her parents to pieces, and definitely had a brilliant relationship with the both of them, but they were hardily ever around. Her father, being a cop, was always busy working on some case, or just generally out on patrol, or whatever it was that cops do, while her mother was everywhere at once- shopping, her sisters, working, you name it. It was all Tori had ever known, but she did wish they could be around some more, rather than leaving her on her own, or worse, being stuck with Trina constantly.

“I’d love to go to yours sometime.” She added, finally finding the paper and mopping up the spilt drink.

After throwing the soggy mess away, she topped up the glasses and walked over to where Mikaela was stood, staring at a photo of Tori, Andre, Beck, Jade, Cat, Robbie and Sikowtiz, all of them dressed up in their ping pong uniforms ready to go off to ‘their big ping pong tournament’. She’d printed a copy of it from TheSlap and added it to the ever growing collection of photographs, just wanting one of her and her friends in the mix. Tori handed the glass to the other girl and picked up the photo in her now free hand, sighing a little as her eyes rested on Jade at the end, remembering the times the goth girl used to hate her. Look at them now.

“Oh, yeah, I know Cat! She’s one of my best friends!” The taller girl put the picture back down and turned to her new friend, an eyebrow raised as she sipped her drink. “You know her too, I take it?”

its-me-mikaela:

“Awww, well I’m happy to—-oof!” Mikaela huffed out as she was tackled by one of Tori’s bear hugs. Tori was definitely a LOT stronger than she looked. Feeling Tori’s strong and surprisingly firm arms wrap around her shoulders, she wasn’t really sure what to do. Being hugged by a friend? This was new for her. She never had a “hugging friend” before. So she responded the only way she knew how. She hugged the Latina back. Not knowing what else to do, she patted Tori’s head gently. Shows how out of touch Mikaela could be when it comes to human interaction.

“Oh it’s all good. I’ll just re-align my spine when I get home.” Mikaela joked, now adjusting her backside a bit. To be honest, it kinda felt nice to have a friend who didn’t judge her so vividly. Tori just had that natural coolness to her. Like you could just chill and be you. No Shiz attached.

Mikaela nodded in agreement to Tori’s request once again reaching for her signature instrument. Teaching Tori how to play and sing at the same time proved to be a lot easier now that they got the basics down. They got the tempo, the speed of the song, the verses, the beats and even the general melody in what to play.

After a few times and a few slip ups, Mikaela was pleased to see how far Tori had come along. She could sing and play at the same time a LOT better than she could at the beginning of the lesson. It had a few rough patches and what not but after a little practice, she was happy with Tori’s performance. She even recorded the Vega girl’s last jam session on her phone.

“Now THAT is what I call an awesome Song Vega.” Mikaela beamed once more giving the Latina girl a high five. Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ringing. Quickly looking down at the text message she got, she giggled brightly from the text she got from her new red headed friend.

“Oh Cat…” Mikaela whispered, giggling at the funny joke message that her red headed friend gave her, before turning her attention back to the Latina.

“Thanks!” Tori grinned, although slightly taken aback when Mikaela called her ‘Vega’. The only person who ever called her by her surname was Jade, it sounded strange coming from someone elses mouth. She mentally scolded herself; she needed to stop relating everything back to Jade.

While the other girl was distracted by her phone, Tori took the chance to text Andre, telling him about her accomplishment of writing her very own song, wanting to know what her best friend thought. She was incredibly proud of everything she had done today, particularly pleased with the progress she’d made from barely being able to string a few chords together to playing and singing at the same time. Sure, it still needed some work, but she was proud nonetheless. Not to mention, she’d made a new friend out of it.

Tori thought she heard Mikaela whisper Cat’s name when she laughed at the text message she was reading, but the tan girl shrugged it off. Whether it was her friend Cat, a Cat that Mikaela knew, or that wasn’t even what she said, it was none of her business.

“So, what do you wanna do know?” The Latina asked, putting her guitar back down and getting up from her seat, moving over to the kitchen to get some pink lemonade. “Fancy a drink?”
